2023 THEME: Radical Becoming!

Accelerating
Love & Justice in Education through Design

#DesginCamp was born in 2015-2016 as a collaborative PD opportunity for 3 local schools seeking to do school differently. Design39, VIDA, and West Wood Elementary came together with some additional friends to connect and learn from one another. The work continues today, the party is just larger. We learn more from learning with diverse groups. There is no rigor without joy!

We are a FREE, participant-driven deep dive into all things associated with deeper learning. Our big levers are that all things should start with human centered/equity-focused design: creative leadership, culture & pedagogy.

Our purpose? To spread more goodness on the world!

Time!

We start at 8:00am sharp! Like we REALLY start then.
We will end about 1:30pm.

Self-Care!

Winter can be tricky in So Cal!
Make sure to dress in layers to be comfortable.
The morning will start chilly.
Bring a water bottle!

Food! It is FREE!

A light morning snack & coffee will be provided!
Lunch will be provided! Food Restrictions? We can accommodate Vegetarian meals. Because this is a FREE, volunteer-run event on a super-tight budget, if you have specific needs, please bring your grub!
